Nintendo has published a guide to linking your Club Nintendo account to your Wii U. While the guide does a decent job detailing how to connect your two accounts, it also reveals some disappointing news.
As a bonus to linking the accounts, you might receive different rewards, such as Club Nintendo coins/stars.
But don’t expect to see an extended warranty for your Wii U. One of the major reasons gamers connected their Nintendo systems to their Club Nintendo accounts in the past was for an extension (usually around six months) on the console warranty. Unfortunately, this retraction of a traditional warranty extension might hint that Nintendo doesn’t want to replace any more faulty products than possible.
Disappointing? What do you think?
